Agricultural Education Graduate Programs
The University of Missouri-Columbia awards two advanced degrees in Agricultural Education:
- Master of Science in Agricultural Education (M.S.)
- Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Education (Ph.D.)
Support areas are available in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) and the College of Education.
The graduate program is designed for students with interests in the fields of agricultural and extension education, communication and informal adult education.
Course work includes:
- Instructional design and delivery
- Teaching and learning theories and practices
- Educational program planning, evaluation, organization and administration
The program may also serve as a support area for students seeking other graduate degrees in CAFNR, College of Education and College of Human Environmental Sciences.
A student's degree program is individually tailored to meet his/her unique needs for professional development.
Evening courses are also offered during each academic term to enable practicing teachers to return to MU to update and expand their knowledge and skills.
