Specialization and/or Electives (14 credits)

  • AGED 7350 - In-service coursework or equivalent [maximum of 8 credits]
  • AGED 8351 - Induction Year Teaching I (1-2)
  • AGED 8352 - Induction Year Teaching II (1-2)
  • AGED 8087 - Seminar in Agricultural Education (1-3)
  • AGED 8250 - Leadership Theory and Application (3)
  • AGED 8340 - Student and Teacher Development in Agricultural Education (3)
  • AGED 8350 - College Teaching of Agriculture, Food, & Natural Resources (3)
  • AGED 8430 - Evaluation of Educational Programs (3)
  • Additional courses selected by the student and approved by the student’s graduate committee may be selected to meet the goals of the student. Courses could be in agricultural education, technical agriculture, educational leadership or other areas.

Additional Details

  • Minimum of 32 semester credits of graduate courses.
  • Minimum of 16 credits in agricultural education courses.
  • Minimum of 16 credits of 8000-level (or higher) courses.
  • Maximum of eight credits of Problems courses.
  • Maximum of six credits may be transferred from another institution upon approval of the Adviser, Director of Graduate Studies and the Graduate School.
  • Degree must be completed within a period of eight years beginning with the first semester of enrollment in which the student is accepted to a degree program.
